Licensing & Usage Rights
Understand the permissions that apply to software, eBooks, templates and digital assets before you buy.
Every Product Has Its Own License
Buying a digital product generally provides permissions under a specific license. It does not automatically transfer copyright ownership or provide unrestricted rights to resell, share, rebrand or redistribute files.
Always review the product listing and applicable license document. Permissions and restrictions vary by product.
Common License Types
These are general explanations, not grants of rights for any particular product.
Personal Use License
Usually permits personal use subject to the license. Commercial use, distribution and resale are not automatically allowed.
Commercial Use License
May permit use in business, content or client projects, without necessarily allowing distribution or resale of original files.
Private Label Rights (PLR)
May grant specified editing, rebranding or resale permissions. Exact terms and limitations come from the product’s PLR license.
Master Resell Rights (MRR)
May allow resale and, in some cases, defined resale rights to be transferred to customers, subject to the specific agreement.
Software Licensing
Software may include activation, device, operating-system, subscription, account, country or other restrictions established by the publisher. Review compatibility, edition, activation method and all applicable terms before purchasing.
Purchasing a software product does not automatically authorize sharing or reselling its license keys or installation files.
eBooks, Templates & Digital Assets
Digital products may permit personal reading, printing, editing, creative use or specified commercial activities. Do not assume resale rights or permission to share original files unless the product license expressly permits them.
What to Check Before Purchase
License type: personal, commercial, PLR, MRR or another agreement.
Permitted uses: editing, printing, client work, distribution, sublicensing and resale.
Restrictions: sharing, number of users, region, formats and third-party terms.
Separate documents: review any license provided with the product.
